IaaS: Infrastructure as a Service
As business evolves, business technology is rapidly evolving towards cloud-based computing. JLL has software hosting options designed specifically for IWMS to support your organization as it moves to the Cloud.
The Value of JLL's Cloud Solutions
Building on technology advances over the past decade, Cloud computing is quickly becoming the standard for modern business. A Cloud-based strategy presents significant opportunities for your organization to shorten time-to-production and to significantly reduce operating costs. By choosing JLL Cloud Solutions, your organization can leverage shared computing and storage resources rather than building, operating and improving infrastructure on your own. Our solutions provide agility for organizations to respond quickly and efficiently to the rapid speed of change in today’s marketplace often at a much lower cost than internal corporate infrastructure.
Virtual and Physical Security
JLL's Cloud Solutions deliver a scalable computing platform that provides customers with both end-to-end security and end-to-end privacy. Security measures are built into our solutions in accordance with industry leading practices.
- Certifications and Accreditations – JLL’s solution has successfully completed multiple SAS70 Type II audits, and is accredited by a Service Organization Controls 1 (SOC 1) report, published under both the SSAE 16 and the ISAE 3402 professional standards. In addition, the solution has achieved ISO 27001 certification, and has been successfully validated as a Level 1 service provider under the Payment Card Industry (PCI) Data Security Standard (DSS). In the public sector certifications realm, the solution is authorized by the U.S. General Services Administration to operate at the FISMA Moderate level, and is also a suitable platform for applications with Authorities to Operate (ATOs) under the Defense Information Assurance Certification and Accreditation Program (DIACAP). Continuous efforts are put forth to obtain the appropriate security certifications and conduct audits to demonstrate industry leading infrastructure and service security.
- Data Privacy – JLL’s solution uses dedicated server instances and enables users to encrypt their data within the Cloud to assure absolute lockdown for your data assets.
- Physical Security – JLL’s hosting infrastructure is located in self-controlled data centers on multiple continents. The data centers are physically secured in a variety of ways to prevent unauthorized access.
Backup and Storage
JLL’s Cloud Solutions provide options to automatically replicate data across multiple data centers in order to provide the highest level of durability.
Our solution helps simplify the backup and recovery environment for the enterprise by leveraging the on-demand nature of the cloud and automating backup, archival and recovery processes so they are easy to manage and maintain.
SaaS: Software as a Service
When deploying enterprise IWMS solutions, companies have historically been required to acquire software licenses and buy and maintain IT infrastructure, often at a very high up front cost and additional recurring costs. SaaS provides an alternative. By choosing JLL Cloud Solutions, your organization can leverage shared computing and storage resources along with licensing and umbrella maintenance of your favorite IWMS application to allow you to focus on your ROI, not on your cost of ownership.
Why take advantage of a SaaS solution?
A SaaS application is subscription-based with a low monthly cost. No up-front software licensing fees mean lower initial costs. Having JLL manage the IT infrastructure means lower IT costs for hardware, software, and the salaries to manage it all.
Because JLL manages all updates and upgrades, there are no patches for customers to install, and no unexpected upgrade costs to stay current as the platform and applications evolve. JLL also manages scaling and availability, so there’s no need for customers to add or upgrade hardware or bandwidth as the user base grows.
What about I.T.?
A recent survey of a thousand IT professionals by Forrester Research found that internal IT departments are increasingly turning to SaaS solutions as a way to offload the management of non-mission-critical applications. They have also found that SaaS pricing models can create a more predictable cost of ownership for enterprise applications.
